Electric fires are no longer regarded as the inferior option to gas or solid fuel fires. Today’s electric fires have impressive, realistic flame pictures with elegant designs.

We have electric fires that can be combined with classic fire surrounds, many of our own individual design, to make a beautiful fireplace.

More sophisticated electric fires will have better flame effects, with thermostatic control and with remote control. Most fires have 2 kilowatt electric heaters. Note that electricity is about three times the cost of gas, so don't rely on electricity as a serious heating source. Where fires are used as ‘picture only’ sources of light, they are economical, with the latest LED fires only using 10-15 watts. For many homes, modern electric fires are a preferred option. They look attractive, they are easy to install and use, they are cheap to run and they provide quiet and hassle-free heating.
