| Traditional Brick Fireplace | |
|
Traditional fireplace opening with bricks and rustic oak beam. We built a traditional brick lined chamber into a 1950s house with original tiled fireplace and back boiler. This very traditional look, combined with an efficient stove was created out of a very ordinary 1950's fireplace. Red brick slips were pointed up with a lime mortar mix, with a reclaimed oak beam, giving an end result that looks as if it has been there for decades! The chimney is lined with a steel liner, the stove is a Stovax Stockton 5 multi fuel stove, ideal for this location. We carried out the demolition, structural modifications to chimney breast, and all the design and installation work to complete the project. For more information on what we can do, click here. Typical Project Cost: £4,000 to £4,500 (2009) (See Note) |
