Cassette stove with stonework and joinery

Cassette stove with stonework and joinery

A built-in stove with hot air ducted to other parts of the house, with extensive stonework and oak joinery.

From an initial concept sketch we prepared detailed drawings :

The stove was installed outside the original chimney breast and flue relocated. Two hot air ducts from the Barbas Escamo stove heat the study behind and the main bedroom upstairs.

Arched log store in the original chimney breast. The stone features were carefully detailed and pointed with a lime mortar, a heavy oak mantel was designed and fitted; storage box with an oak lid for kindling and lighting materials; marble hearth almost flush with the carpet.

The end result is a unique and stylish fireplace and stove, which functions efficiently and effectively.
